ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025: Full schedule, venues, live-streaming details and more
Australia and Scotland will play the
opening match of the second edition of the ICC Women U-19 World Cup today at
the YSD-UKM Cricket Oval stadium in Malaysia. This year, 16 teams will compete
in the Women's U19 World Cup, which is played in a 20-over format in contrast
to the ICC Men's event.
For the 16-day competition, teams have been split into four groups: England,
New Zealand, and Australia are in Groups B, C, and D, respectively, while hosts
Malaysia and India are in the same group.
Group A: India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, West Indies
Group B:
England, Ireland, Pakistan, United States
Group C:
New Zealand, Nigeria, Samoa, South Africa
Group D:
Australia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Scotland
Before
the top three teams from each group advance to the Super Six League stage,
which will take place from January 25 to 29, all teams in the same group will
have the opportunity to play one another. Teams from Group A will play two
other Group A teams in this stage, while teams from Group B will play Group C
teams.
Interestingly, these teams' group stage points will be carried over to the
Super Six stage.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, which will
take place on January 31, and the winners will advance to the finals on January
2, following the conclusion of the Super Six stage.
